Finding words in the wild

Sometimes, a person just needs to escape. The mountains, trees, running water, and time can be just what the body, mind, and spirit needs. I was lucky enough to be able to do just that.

I’ve become increasingly brave about eating berries and handling the foliage. I picked up a book titled, Foraging Washington, but still don’t feel confident in my abilities to tell plants apart from a photo in a book. So Jonathan’s walk was the perfect opportunity to enjoy learning about plants from an expert.
